MOVEMENT + MEDITATION

Baiba facilitates private, group and corporate in person and online movement + meditation sessions. Her focus is on merging movement and breath to create a relaxing and enjoyable environment on the mat, finishing each session with a guided relaxation practice or yoga nidra. On the cushion Baiba hopes to encourage and support a sustainable mindfulness meditation practice.

Baiba’s journey to the steady meditation practice started in 2010, which later sparked the interest in breathwork and yoga practice. However her love and curiosity for human mind and body was always there.

In May, 2016, Baiba traveled to Dharamkot, India, where she did her Multi-Style Yoga Teacher Training. It was an exhausting, overwhelming, and one of the most amazing months of her life. And ever since that immersive month Baiba has continued to practice and deepen her understanding and knowledge of the practices of yoga, breathwork and meditation.

In March, 2019, Baiba finished the Foundations in Teaching Mindfulness Meditation course delivered and developed by the late Michael Stone, a course facilitated by Yogacampus - The Life Centre Education, London.

To further her studies and understanding of how the mind and body work in unison Baiba has completed Trauma Sensitive Yoga training, 10-day Vipassana Meditation residential course, she has attended Anatomy of the Breath and Anatomy for Ashtanga Yoga with David Keil, practiced Ashtanga Yoga and studied Yoga Philosophy with one of the most renowned and well-known yoga teachers Eddie Stern, studied meditation with the late Michael Stone; she has also studied with Luke Jordan and Sonja Radvil to name but a few.

Baiba started to teach in Galway City on Summer Solstice day in 2017. Since then Baiba has hosted and taught workshops in Galway, Dublin, Inishbofin and Tralee, Ireland, and Riga and Liepaja, Latvia, as well as assisted for a Galz Gone Wild getaway in Loulé, Portugal. To bring these practices to life Baiba has collaborated with many teachers and organised Inner Space ceremonies, Wild Moments outdoor sessions, Radiant Being gatherings, Yoga for Runners and many more in person and online events.

By sharing these practices Baiba hopes to create a bit more curiosity, passion and intimacy towards life, mind and body.

The answer lies within.

“I have been attending Baiba’s classes for the past 4 years. I have always been very impressed by her knowledge of anatomy and the attention she gives to students. She empowers students to practice yoga most suited to their individual bodies whilst also creating a space for mindfulness. Her classes have enhanced my overall wellbeing and improved my strength for running.”

Hilary, group and one-on-one yoga sessions

“I adore my weekly one-to-one class with Baiba. Her calming words and energy, her informative yet gentle teaching approach, and her beautifully varied sequencing are the reasons why I float out of the room at the end of each class. Baiba’s extensive knowledge is enlightening and allows me to learn so much from her and fine tune my own practice.”

Jillian, one-on-one yoga and meditation sessions

“A moment of calm, of pause, reflection, self discovery and so much more. Through my sessions with Baiba I’ve learned so much about myself and how to connect more with my environment around me. Growing a deeper connection with the breath and nature has helped me so much in my daily life, to remain grounded and compassionate to myself in times of challenge. Thank you so much Baiba for sharing your light and knowledge with me, always look forward to our sessions.”
